FIELDWORK

Over the past several years, I’ve documented an ongoing series of journeys, seasonal transitions, and day-to-day work across the Boundary Waters and along the Gunflint Trail — including time spent living and working at Clearwater Historic Lodge.

These records are not simply travel logs, but part of a long-term creative practice rooted in developing a deeper relationship with specific wilderness places. Many of the photographic works found throughout this archive begin here — shaped by lived experience, environmental conditions, and time spent returning to the same landscapes across seasons.

The sections below offer a look into that process: from remote canoe expeditions and winter traverses, to the daily rhythms of lodge life and the changing ecological patterns that define this region throughout the year.
